If you experience pain and stiffness in your neck and/or
headaches, you are not alone. In
addition to neck pain, many people also experience tingling in the fingers.
These are the first two steps in The Pain Progression.
Using our 3 F's method (Feel It. Find It. Fix It.), it is
possible to identify this pain, find the causes, and begin to take the
necessary steps to relieve it.

Identify and acknowledge that you feel pain in
your neck. This is the first step in the healing process because
ignoring your pain or taking a pill won't make it go away for good.

Identify the
cause of your pain. Let's use a very common cause of work-related neck pain and headaches, Forward Head.
Check your posture.
For every inch that the head is forward from it's correct position, it adds an additional ten pounds of weight that your neck has to support. This puts tremendous strain on the neck muscles, causing painful spasms. This can also result in disc herniations that pinch the nerves and can cause tingling.
Why is your head forward?
The most common cause of Forward Head is improper monitor
position. If your monitor is too far away your
head will naturally
move forward
in order for you to see it better. |

This neck position
can even reduce oxygen intake up to 20%. |

Make the necessary changes and perform the proper exercises.
Taking the third step is easy!
Move your monitor closer so that you can see it with your head
and neck in proper alignment. |
